What's the best way to make my deposit?
The safest, fastest and easiest way to transfer money is through PayPal which is our online bank for credit card payments. We will send you a money request for the agreed deposit amount and you follow the steps in an email to pay the deposit with your credit card. You do not need to become a member of PayPal to use their credit card service but there is a transfer fee. The deposit can also be paid by an International bank transfer which costs minimum $20 from the US and more from Europe.

Is the beach far away?
There are 2 sandy beaches near our guesthouse. One is at the end of our driveway - 150m and another 450m or a 7 minute walk.

How do i reach the hotel from mainland from which port leaves ferry?
Ferries for Kea leave from the port of Lavrio. Lavrio is a 1 hour drive from central Athens and 30 minutes from the Athens International Airport.

I'm trying to find ferry times on the site you sent me to: www.openses.gr but there are no ferry times posted for the dates we're interested in.
Ferry schedules are changed monthly and rarely published more than a few weeks in advance. You can usually count on the following ferries leaving every day except holidays:
Lavrio - Kea
08:30 every day
Kea - Lavrio
06:30 every day except Sundays
There are usually 2-3 more scheduled ferry runs in the afternoon, more during the high season. It is usually not necessary to book passenger tickets in advance but is advised
to reserve a place for a car if you plan to bring one over.

On several Internet sites there appears to be no ferry or no seats available on ferries
to get to Kea. Can this be true?
Unfortunately, most Greek sites have translated 'no seats available yet' to 'no
available seats'. As far as we know, there has never been an instance when passengers
(without car) have not found available seats if they are at the ticket office in Lavrio 1 hour before the ferry is scheduled to leave.

What if my flight arrives too late to get to the island? Is there someplace nice to stay that doesn't involve getting in and out of central Athens?

if you do not have enought time to make the last ferry. There are no hotels in Lavrio and this one is midway between the airport and Lavrio. It is very basic but the owner is extremely helpful and the rooms are clean.

I'm trying to choose flights but need to know when the ferries are so I can avoid staying in Athens or Lavrio.
Choose the flight that arrives earliest in the day to Athens, before 3pm to be sure to get to the port of Lavrio in time for the last ferry. It takes 30 minutes by taxi to get from Airport to Lavrio, longer with the bus.
